@USAKID
So what if I get sued for using these sound effects. What sort of guarantee can you provide in writing that says you'll take the heat if someone says one of these sound effects is copywritten?

MORPG Programer: Sorry but I'll have to decline, and I do think someone else would enjoy that membership more, but save it if you like in case I change my mind.

Tapewormz: I know these sounds aren't Copy Writed and don't ask how I know because I wont answer you.

UFO: Oh, ya. I like your virtual solar system program (V2).

I'm not the person to ask - I've been working on an FPS game for nearly 1.5 years now, and it's looking like I'll be finished in 15 years time...

of course you'll finish if you stick at it long enough. But when you'll finish is not something anyone round here can tell you. If you have any sort of planning (such as DB Pro's "To Do" list) you might have some sort of idea. I have 20 things in my to do list for my current project, and after 16 months, I've done 2 things (10%). so on current calculations it'll take me 160 months, which is 13.33 years

All I can say is MMORPGs are the hardest - especially if you are trying to do better than titles such as Lineage 2 and World of Warcraft.

No one is absolutely "hated" around here. You will always get people with only negative opinions where-ever you settle. Yes the place has changed though, people were far more supportive when I joined. But to answer your question again - yes, you'll finish. This being your first time isn't bad like everyone makes out it is.

Just don't let people who are like:
Quote: "
I know C++
I know C#
I could write machine code if I set my mind to it
But I'm going to stick with a high-level BASIC language
Oh, I need help with this BASIC
"

Put you off - it's generally this sort that flame newcomers for asking about things they don't understand.

Unfortunately not - I like the flexibility of doing what I want, when I want to do it (plus I absolutely hate RPG's of any description...)
