Ok, riddle me this

I drive around, evade all the cops etc. The text indicator at the bottom says I have done a bunch of cool stuff and sufficed the level (not talking about the races vs the 15 pros) but no matter what I do the race/level never ends. Is there some progression to be had here, like advancing through levels? This makes no sense. The game is cool looking and quite playable but the lack of "task" info is really starting to tick me off! Any help would be quite welcomed.

After you have done "the cool stuff". Go back to your garage. You can drive there or hit Esc(I think) the menu will let you immediately pop to your garage. If I'm not mistaken, you don't even have to drive around to all the race markers, you can access them from the garage and pop straight to the race and back.

The whole NFS series and Gran Turismo series don't make sense at all anymore after playing LFS!

I don't know how to do the 1 smilie thing, but I've never tried.

Anyways, with NFS-MW, I've noticed that you don't have to complete *all* of the bounties. I'm only in 13th place right now, but with lvl 14 I just beat all of the races, and completed all of the milestones. After that, I was able to challenge the dude.
