ZELDA!
today is TLOZ's 20th birthday!
20 years of having one of the worlds best games available to buy in a store near you.
What a classic

my earliest gaming memories are playing this game. I spent a good 2 or 3 years playing with a Zelda clone called Zelda Classic, before i wanted to get into 3d stuff and ran into Darkbasic.

One of my first attempts with 3d games in DB was a 3d clone of TLOZ, i got as far as making a LINK looking character.

It has to be on the list of one of the best games ever.

anyway, HAPPY FREAKING BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Zelda! Long may you reign, in remakes and sequals...(though why more of the games didn't get named after Link I'll never know...)

Oh man I'm getting so horny just knowing that Zelda's 20 she's like so hawt that it's not even funny.

Yeah... nevermind that.

Anyways this is great to hear because I'm a die-hard Zelda fan. The first moment I got my hands on the Twilight Princess demo was like reaching nirvana in buddhism. Seriously I'm that obsessed. I had to push people out of the way and fight my way up the line to play it.

Wait... how old was Zelda in the game though? Wasn't she a teenager already? Dude, that puts her into her 30's or 40's doesn't it? That's gross!

Edit: Oh yeah... I'll be 30 in a few years. Nevermind, it's not THAT gross afterall

I've decided that when i get home from my two year trip, i'm going to beat every zelda game, from the first up to the last, in chronological order.

Then you'll find that it's very easy to get bored with the first one, and you'll skip it straight to the N64 ones

nope, i love them. just under 2 years ago, i beat the first one, with an orriginal cart on the NES, I had the best sword before i beat level 2 , did you know that they count the number of HEARTS you have to get the newer swords , i found all the secret hearts before i beat level 1 hehe.

then last year while i was stuck in bed from my knee surgeries, I ALMOST beat the 2nd one... i got to the last guy, he's IMPOSSIBLE! I did that one on the GameCube with that Promo disk they put out a while back.

Last year, during the same time, i beat the SNES (actually it was the four swords one...) one on my Gamecube using the GBA player thingy i have (don't even own a real gameboy, bahaa)

then at the same time (still stuck in bed from surgery) I started Ocarina of Time MASTER QUEST (because i've beaten OOT), still haven't beat it... getting close tho... I only play it a little every week tho havent touched it in over 2 weeks tho.

and I got Majora's Mask the DAY IT CAME OUT! and I still haven't beat it that game's only fun until you get to the last level (lv4, not the moon)
but my friend beat it in under a week... I'm just way to lazy

oh yeah, i'm going to completely skip out on The Wind Waker, I can't STAND that game... ugh.

and I love the Game Boy Color one... the one with the wind fish... and the big egg... what's the name... never beat it tho... way fun game

and the orricle games will be fun, i'll have to buy them...

as you can see, i've only mostly beaten all the zelda games (except 3...) so i want to be able to say "I've beaten all the GOOD zelda games, that excludes the crap WW crap crap"

anyway, more info than you wanted

Wow, to tell you the truth I've never played any of the Zelda games aside from OOT :-P

I just know from experience some of those classic NES games are *really* hard to get into nowadays...

Yes, a very annoying lack of direction in those games. I gave up on the original Zelda after stumbling around outside and dying repeatedly after the first dungeon.

My fondest young childhood memories is playing Ocarina Of Time in a trailer, then putting a plastic bucket on my head and screaming "ME NEED CANTELOPE!" Whenever I died.

BTW, Twilight Princess will pwn all. With a monkey stick. (ook ook)
