Newcomers DBPro Corner / seting a colision zone

ok i have 3 variables

xPos#=object position x(id)
yPos#=object position y(id)
zPos#=object position z(id)

and i want to set a "danger zone" where traps randomly apear, to see if the player steps on a trap tile insie the danger zone what would you suggest i code?

i was thinking

for x pos=start corner to x pos=end corner
but is their a way to concatonate so its has to check the range for x y and z?

Your question is not clear...
do you want to check when the player hits a trap or if he enters the area where traps are located..?

sorry it was late, i made a pervious topic of the same design an got 18 odd views but no posts

my goal is to (well you can find out more info in the "Sex topic," its dummy name)

basicly im trying to create a box

if the player move with the box and since the area is flat, are at the static Y value then it souuld randomly roll to see if a trap is triggered
