I always wanted to create my own games,
I have FPS Creator, and it ROCKS
I wanna have a go at this darkbasic thingy, I heard it's the dogs bollocks
,
I might get the classic, as my pc is
64mb graphics : ATI Radeon IGP 320M
1.8Ghz 448mb of RAM
and might not be good enough for DB prob
should I go for classic or pro...
I can't evan program myself out of a paper bag. so i'll need ALOT of help
also, I might get the 3D Gamemaker, it looks cool, I know most say it's limited, but it's nice for a novice, and I might get my girlfriend to use it, so she can make a cool game of her own
she would like that, becasue she sees me making games with my FPS creator, and she wants to join in....
but she get's lost, so the 3D gamemaker might be right

so shall I get the DB classic and 3D Gamemaker,
or jump to pro....

I tryed DB pro, demo, but it;s an internet activation thingy,
my home laptop does NOT have internet, so I was stuffed

You cannot compare FPSC and 3D GameMaker with DB actually. They both don't require much coding, but DBC does.

You will need some time before getting the hang of any coding-language, and that is were most ppl quit. Take your time and you'll be fine.

It's the programmer's life:
Have a problem, solve the problem, and have a new problem to solve.

If you're seriuse about starting programming, you should deffinately go for DarkBasic Pro... It has alot more features to use, and is just as easy to learn as DarkBasic Classic(The rumoer about dbc are easier to learn should not be around here anymore...). The excuse about dbpro have more advanced features and is therefore harder to learn... I mean wha!? Simple... Just don't touch the advanced features before you got the understandment of the basic...

And as Sven B says... Learning programming takes alot of time. And you cannot compare FPSC, 3DGM and db at all...

Good luck!
