Ok, I've been inserting lots of pictures into a word document in Word 2003.

However, none of the pictures actually appear unless you press print preview.Otherwise the pictures simply appear as black outlined boxes, with nothing in them. (example attached) - which is very annoying.

Its only recently started doing this, and I've had a fiddle with the otpions, but haven't been able to fix it.

Any help greatly appreciated

Isn't that an option?

Like you disable picture displaying so that when editing your document the images don't slow things down.

Look in the options for the View tab, then deselect Picture Placeholders - I reckon that'll sort it.

Yeah, it was the picture place holder option. Thanks I'd never noticed that option before.

Still doesn't explain why it suddenly turned on though

It doesn't, but there's so many crappy bugs in Office2003 that nothing surprises me. Hell I did'nt want to upgrade from Office97! - we use Office2000 here, which is not too bad I suppose apart from the Foxpro support being cut down.
