I am getting a lot of emails from users asking for the non watermarked version of Signs. So I decide to start a new post for Signs II. You no longer need to email me for the full version. It is available at http://www.fpsconline.com to all fpscreator users at no charge.

Signs II continues with the same easy to use interface as the original Signs program but, expands to allow you to also add Floors, Walls and Rooms. I have added a few overlays which allows you to place things like wall moulding onto your textures. This allows you to keep a consistant look while using different colored textures. Like in an office building, one room might be white plaster and another room blue plaster but the moulding would be consistant. When I get some time I will create a 'how to' to change the the default overlays.

Signs II does not do anything you cannot do manually, it's just really fast and easy. You can also modify the created files anyway you want.

You may NOT:
sublicense, sell, lease, permit use of, give, lend, distribute, release, provide access to, or in any way transfer the program SIGNS, except for the DEMO Distribution unless given permission by DataTek, Inc. Email me at fpscuser@gmail.com for permission.

You MAY:
Give away or sell anything you create in Signs, no restrictions.

Have fun and let me know what you think, should I continue to create utilities?

TeMpLaR1, yes please use my license above. I have added your website to the readme file in signs. Let me know if you want it to say something else or if it is ok as is. (wow how many two letter words can you use in a sentence)

Thanks guys, I have some more things to add in the signs program and a few new ideas for another utility.

Have fun..

Fix:
Signs II 2.0.1 did not correctly check existing filenames when creating rooms also when overwriting existing filenames the bin file is removed now.
I also created two installs, for those that have already downloaded and installed Signs II you can just get the lean version to upgrade to the newest version 2.0.2

What can I say but, Thanks to everyone that has posted and emailed me. I am truely amazed at all the positive comments about Signs and truely appreciate it. I'm not quite finished with Signs yet. Can't tell you what's next but I think it will be pretty cool and a first again.

Silver - I'm sure everyone will like the tutorials.

BULLSHOCK 2 - Signs is written in VB6 with a lot of api calls. Though I have started to convert my routines over to DBPro. Signs will live out it's life in VB6. But I will have my set of routines converted to DBPro to do something else with later. I have seen your utility on the forum and hope you continue work on it. It's looking real good.

Well, I just ordered Dark Voice so if you don't hear from me for a few days then I must be playing.

Thanks TeMpLaR1, is it ok if I just continue to notify you of updates. Or do you want me to upload them on your site.

What's best for you.

I have been adding a new feature to Signs that allows use of a web camera with transparent overlays.
Does this sound interesting to anyone?

ChrisB - Were you trying to spell fainted or farted?

The capture overylay is hard to explain so here's a screen shot.

That capture overlay option is so much a "deluxe" feature it's almost rediculious. Is this program still going to be free??

Well it's that time to request a few beta testers again. Signs III has the ability to use a webcam to capture images for signs. Hopefully we will see animated texture in fpsc soon and Signs will be able to capture video also.

If you want to download the manual to read about the new features go to http://www.fpsconline.com/news.asp. The manual also covers a lot of the existing stuff.

Let me know what you think of the manual and if you want to beta Signs III.

Thanks
Terry
