Hey,
I was wondering, if I use a snippet from the codebase in my game, will I need to ask permission from the owner and give them credit? Or is the codebase free game to anything posted there? It's nothing really modable or that I would do different myself, I just needed to see how its done, its just a free mouselook.

I wouldn't say you need to ask permission (whoever put the code in the codebase obviously doesn't mind other people having it) but I'd definately credit them.

But there's nothing wrong with sending them a quick email to say you've found their code useful and it's helped you with your project.
