How would you get a muzzle flare at the end of a gun. Do you beed to use ExGen or something?

muzzle flare?? to make the heat seeking missiles stray away? lol

well yea i think you mean muzzle flash, but you dont really need an animated texture as if you look at real firing weapons you only see it for a split second so making it animated is rather pointless, the simplest way is just to make a plain, texture it with a flash texture make it transparent/ghost it and voila.

to make the flash texture you can use psp/ps or gimp? or you could look for picures of real guns firing and edit the rest out. many ways to make them.
