Almost there... The object importer is amazing I'm having fun with it now. I imported all these cars and plane from Dark Matter into FPSC objects in like 1 minute.

This thing is turning into the difinitive tool for creating custom media for FPSC.

So far everything I've planned to do is working.

*pick FPSC location in prefs so it now works even if you haven't installed in the default directory.
*smoother preview with more options.
*better dynamic gui.(fancy mouseover and everything)
*signs (fully x y scalable)
*boxes (x y z scale and texture) static or dynamic
Make your own crates, blocks, walls, hay bails, or whatever.
*cylinders (x y z scale and texture) static or dynamic --your own columns, pipes, rounded buildings, you name it.
* NEW! WALLS AND CURVED WALLS ALSO.
* and the coolest thing... Import any x file*. Magic FPS automatically makes it into an FPSC entity ready to go in your world. Just load it, scale it, pick the texture and hit save object! It takes about 10 seconds to add a tank from Dark Matter to your FPSC library.

*Some may not be compatible. Any x file you can load into Dark Basic you can load into this. Also the scale can be very different so you have to play a little with it.

**Also this is mainly for level objects. Animations and behaviors are not included. Physics works great with MFPS made and imported objects though.

I'll be releasing a beta to a couple of people in a few days and by the end of the week it will be out.

It looks very nice, how much did you say you wanted for the final version? This could save me a lot of time.

Update. Big update. Almost too much power for just a free update. But yeah it's a free update.

If this is half as good as you say, I'll be buying. Are you still having the hill segments? So you can build 'terrain'?

The hills are just an extra bonus. Not really part of Magic FPS.

Check this out. The main reason that's holding up the release is I can't stop playing with it! The DarkMatter 2 stuff you have to mess with in the MFPS editor and there's a lot of black in the textures. I'm thinking of making an auto de-blacker for it, but for now you have to do it yourself.

I Finnaly got the money to purchase some extra things for FPSC and I was thinking a while ago to purchase MagicFPS once I got the money, so now I have it.
But I have 1 question, how long would it take to get MagicFPS when I purchase it today?

Thnx for this great tool Sinister

The new version is done and up for sale now! Here it is in it's current form.

I'll be sending you current users "the email" tomorrow so you can get your free update. Update only works if you have Magic FPS already.

Site is updated as well:
http://www.uberdroid.com/fastfps

Enjoy!

BTW Thanks for beta testing. I added walls and curved walls since the one you worked on, but they seem to work ok so I'm releasing.

The mountain in the screenshot looks low-poly, but the texture makes it look high poly; good work Sinistar. One cosmetic thing, the buttons seem to be just a teeny bit mis-aligned. But that's just my nit-picking. Excellent work though.

Thanks. I think I accidentally caught a couple of extra people on my list (I have re-sent Habatar the download free for pointing this out) If you are one of these people, enjoy. My mistake is your free program! You have to buy it if you want further updates, though.

Double Helix: I sent them the extra files they needed (the 2 that I know about). Send me an email from the email you used with paypal and I'll make sure you get the update.

Same goes for any other buyers of MFPS who didn't get the update yet.

Cool Thanks. Anymore screenshots? I'm trying to make a cocacola can with the cylinder and I'm a bit frustrated with the controls.

The cool thing about this is that user support is very quick when I'm the user. Complaints are addressed almost instantly. I'm releasing an upgrade soon with better scaling controls and more versitile viewing.

Users can create hills in your Magic Fps ?

Picture looks great, and i think i might buy it, but i want to finish my pack before it, becouse when i buy it..it will "over take" me and i`ll start playing with it, witch would make me stop working..

How much was it again ?

Currently working on (trying) making a new 3d engine for/within dark basic classic out of basic 2d commands, with vertex edit supported.

It comes with a hill object. You can scale it any way you want and put them together for some quick nice very customizable terrain like effects --but it's not terrain per se.

It's $14.99.

sinistar can you use the doors, and windows, furniture, all entitys in magic fps and just put your own textures on them?
if so how.
i tried to import them but when i bring up the folder and open it,
it shows an empty folder so i cant click on anything and bring it in.

thanks

Magic FPS only imports direct x meshes. Doors and windows are full fps files that refer to several different meshes each that are located in the meshbank, not the segments folder.

I'd like to do the basic wooden door so you can change the textures for it. There's a lot of interest in that and it may be in an upgrade. So far the next upgrade includes:

0. improved preview viewing. Not so limited for objects now
1. smoother object re-sizing and rotation you can be a little more exact now
2. setting material types for everything (you can make a thin box and use it as a throw-rug so it will need to make the carpet sound.

Anything else people might want?
