I was hoping someone (maybe more than one!) could give me some advice on how to improve this game I just started making. It's a arcadey sort of game, with two gameplay modes. Please give it a try and give any comments about it, I'd be very grateful.

Here's a screenshot:

I think this should be in the W.I.P forum.

It seems to run very fast on my machine. There's no chance that I can deflect the balls except by chance - the zip off the screen in approx 1 second from when they enter - and my reactions aren't that good.

Either slow it down (sync 60?) or indicate somehow where the next balls will be coming from.

I apologise for not putting it into the WIP section but I'm not used to the system this forum uses (admittedly I should have looked into it before posting but I couldn't be bothered!).

Thanks Tinkergirl for actually commenting on the game. I have had problems with the speed but the thing is it runs perfectly fine on my PCs so it's machine dependant. Any idea how to even it out anyone?

As TinkerGirl says, just put on a sync rate. Of course you could make it timed... But for now, I think it's just best to put a sync on it

Put this in the very top of your code, and it should run just fine on every pc

@ The Nerd: he will also need to put a sync every time he wants the screen updated.

@Wiggles: Are you supposed to be able to rotate your...thing? Because I couldn't. It didn't help that I couldn't figure out how to navigate teh menu either.

@ Tinkergirl: thanx, I'll give that a go.

@ Flindiana: you press space to rotate your cup clockwise only.

Did anyone else have trouble navigating the menu?
