The worst sports-related injury was playing hockey in school--- the bast-- opposing centre from the other team did a fast high-stick right into my face after taking a slapshot. That hurt.

aiiiiii sorry for the bump!!!

It's been 5 weeks so far. Today, I've gone for my first x-ray since the accident. The bone healed crooked as most clavicle injuries do..small bones are also growing on either end aswell...looks like one hell of a bump on my shoulder. I can move now, but not allowed any contact or resistance for the arm. Another 3 weeks to go. My arm is almost completly deprived of any muscle power. I have trouble lifting a cup. : /
Flexibility is also gone...this will take alot of work to fix.

They said I'd take 6 weeks, but later changed it to 8. What's the bloody point of being 16 if you get the same healing period as a 30 year old man? I feel so ripped-off.

Bones. Don't break em, cause it's a huge pain in the ass.

Megacat out.

It's not so much of a physical pain in the shoulder, but rather then helplessness of it. I don't get attacked very often, but if anyone wants to do it, now would be the best time.

When I sprained my ankle they said 3 months until I could feel normal again with it. I was starting in my first basketball game a month later

Why make sense when you could make brownies?

Really, that long?

I've sprained ankles a few times playing soccer, and it was less then a week. (Guess you had a rather bad one)

One of my teachers once had a triple fracture in his leg...was a year before he could walk again. O_O

Luckily for me I heal rather quick, couple of weeks ago i was holding on the car longboarding and i managed to fall off, and to put it simply, i met face to face with the road. Fractured many things, but nothing was broken, though my face is still quite disfigured. Its amazing what people can do to themselves, is it not?

If you're so smart, why are you reading my post?

Is there any numbness in it?

I've got a mate who's had multiple motorbike accidents and they've got a part of their arm that's numb. You could stand there poking it with a pin and he wouldn't notice (not that I'd do that to a mate).

Another reason I don't do sports. Why put stick on your feet and go fast on snow when you can watch it just perfectly! Lol. Sports are cool to watch though. Especially those olympic skiers, now thats hardcore! Did any of you see the Men's Ariel? That was some crazy a$$ stuff.

Take a few catnaps and you'll be fine. As I've always said, a nap a day keeps the funny men away!

... have I always said that?

Everyone should do some sort of physical activity...that in return makes it okay to spend abnormal hours in front of the PC. ^_^

What is Extreme Skining? Is it like a tournament where people have to skin a live animal before time runs out?

And no, I can't say risk of injury is part of the fun. You should do everything you can to avoid it.

I play sports to win and hurt other people, not myself. I do so with excellent results.

I love competing against people in the Army. I'm like a broken down left handed Ken Stabler with something to prove. Cash 'The Snake' Curtis didn't come to play - he came to OWN.
