Have you ever tried watching a DVD with WMP? It took 20 seconds to load the menu on my PC and the audio/video sync constantly slipped. I tried to put it into skinned mode so I could DBP and watch some comedy at the same time. The result? 4x compile times and constant crashing. I downloaded a demo of PowerDVD and it can watch DVDs flawlessly whilst doing complex graphics. I think this proves something; not even VIP APIs can solve M$'s shoddy programming!

I've never had problems watching dvd's..

But, i do use media player classic to watch them(as it can use codecs better than windows media player)...
