About the book Hands On DarkBASIC Pro - Volume 1,

Why is so that none of the DarkBASIC books do not cover the 3D library of DarkBASIC?

Just look at the index and nowhere something about the 3D libarary can't be found.
This seems to be also the same for the other DarkBASIC books.

Why is this?

ABIT NF7-S V2.0, AMD XP1700+ @ 2300MHz ) , ASUS gForce4 Ti4200 8XAGP, 2x256Mb Dual Channel .... Still using DARKBASIC PRO. TRIAL

There is to be a second volume that will deal with the 3D commands. But the author is working with the base assumption that the true beginner will need to learn from a limited knowledge of programming. So they author looks to teach programming from the lowest level and work up.

I do not own the book myself but have heard great things about it and many have indicated (even some that have been around a while) that they have learned about some commands, things that they did not know.

I confirm that. Book is well worth the price even if you have a good background in 2D programming. Can't wait for 2nd one to be available as I'm a total noob with 3D programming.

There are only 10 kinds of programmers - those who understand binary, and those who don't.
