Well, I just went to court this morning and we have three days to get out... which sucks. I tried to overdraw my account but my bank rejected it. My girlfriend and I are going to have to move into my mom's house for a month or two, until we find a new apartment. My mom is going to have Time Warner come and hook up the internet there, but it might be a week or two before anyone sees me again... not the months and months I was predicting, and I'm not going to be some homeless bum walking through Times Square with tin-foil on my head carrying a sign that says "The end is near" on one side and "Will blow for food" on the other. Although that would make for one hell of a photo op!

I guess this means my latest game release is going to be temporarily postponed, until we get into my mom's and I get the internet. I know a small handful of people on these forums were looking forward to it (the small few who know the gritty details) and to them, I'm sorry that you'll have to wait an extra week or two... not that it's a big deal, I'm sure.

Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread for your advice and stuff. I really needed to vent my frustrations and whatnot and if it weren't for you guys, I think my head would have exploded by now like a scene out of Scanners. It's good to know that people can be cool and offer meaningful advice when I really need it the most... thanks for that.

Okay, well, I'll be making posts here and there today, but I'm packing up the Vaio (and everything else) tomorrow so I bid you all a fond farewell. I'll be checking my e-mail every once in a while at my Brother's apartment so you can contact me there if for some reason you need to. Anyway, ciao.

I'm back and alive and whatnot. Just thought I'd let everyone know. I won't be able to start work on the game just yet... I'm still unpacking and we're hunting for a new apartment... but we're safe and stuff. Just thought I'd provide an update for those of you who're interested in knowing.

I'm sorry to bump an old thread, but this thing sank into the abyss and I never knew what happened. I actually went looking for it. It seemed like you were missing for 1 day, then you came back like nothing happened. What's up? Everything cool?

We were evicted and had to move to my parents until we find a new apartment. I started the new job and we're going to spend a month saving and paying bills to catch up before we get a new place. I wish I could do it all over again, but I can't... so hopefully in the end we'll end up with an even nicer apartment (wishful thinking in New York, lol). But yeah, we survived and didn't end up homeless. Although my parents are REALLY unhappy about us staying with them, they couldn't turn us down (and besides, it's only until the last week of april, it's not like I'm 40-something and still living at home lol, I'm only 26 and staying for a month ). The big trouble we're facing now is with the car possibly getting repo'd, but we worked out a deal with them and my friend Katie is helping us in that realm (thank god). I wish she offered to help a few weeks ago though eh, what can you do. Thanks for the concern, though. If it weren't for these forums giving me a place to vent I probably would have gone coo-coo.
