Well, today for no apparent reason my xbox 360 decided to start randomly freezing when i start it up, after about an hour and a half on the phone with their excellet customer service (no joke, they were actually helpful) they are sending me a box to send my 360 to them in, and thyen in 5 to 7 days after that they will send me my 360 fixed, or a new one altogether

That was fast And although I'm an avid Sony fanboy who'd usually take this as an opportunity to make fun of the 360, I won't because it sucks that you paid so much money for a console to have it break this fast. That sucks!

Pshh, are you kidding me? Their customer service sucks. They've been promising me a call "soon" and "between 48 and 72 hours" for the past 3 weeks to fix the broken refurb system they sent me after I sent my first broken one in to be repaired.

hey now, i was just happy to be speaking to someone in eglish that is actually american, but so far so good, im hoping izzy's problem doesnt happen with me, and if it doesnt, ill be perfectly happy with their customer service, if theyre able to get me a working xbox within 10 days of me calling them yesterday, id say thats impressive.

I've been in the same situation... It really sucks...

I just finally bought a xbox 360, and at the same day, I get a system error when booting it up... -_-'

I've got a new one now... So far there haven't been any problems with it... And I would like it to keep behave like that!

Mine worked like a dream until around January-February when the dvd-drive decided to stop working. It couldn't read anything at all, music CDs, games, dvds... Nothing whatsoever. Then I sent it back, and I'll admit the first time through customer service rocked. Within a week I had my system back... Actually it was a refurbished system. And the techs had managed to remove XBox Live from it. So now I've been sitting without XBox Live for almost a month(after I've already paid for a years worth) and the DVD drive is starting to fail on this refurb.

@ 3ds Master
Must you ALWAYS try to turn threads about consoles into *console* vs PS3 threads?

Of course he does... Because deep inside him, he's started to feel something for the xbox 360... Because it's better than the ps3... And he just tries to fight this feeling by keep telling himself "Xbox 360 is bad, ps3 good, xbox 360 bad bad, ps3 good, really good"...
But he already knows that he can't fight it... But he still tries by post things that is better(in his dreams) about the ps3...

That's the conclusion!

3ds master... And that's a good thing... why? Oh, maybe it's because it'll jack up the price by a few hundred dollars? If Elder Scrolls Oblivion can fit onto one disc with what we currently have... and that has 150 hours of content... Then why do we need that much more room?

They're most likely Canadian, but hey, whatever makes you happy

3DSMaster doesn't know what he's talking about, obviously. The DVD format is not "old" by any means. And anyways, you're all talking about the PS3 in present context. Hellooooo, it's not out yet.

Okay that's your mistake--- the "official" anything mag will be incredibly biased.

I used to subscribe to the Official Xbox mag because of the cover disc, and they would take no breaks from praising each and every little thing the Xbox did--- irrelevant or not. They would never give credit where its due to the NGC or PS2.

How can people fill up 5GB of data exactly? Are they saving in 1024-bit Tiff format at 64x the in game displayed resolution? Waste. That is most of the 5GB. Ocarina of time is 14MB for goodness' sake!

I would assume it's the massive amounts of models and cutscenes... Models with really high polys take lots of space I'm sure

No, it is just about 1/90 of a kb per triangle, as all it is is three vertex coordinates and some uv data (two floats). Why models turn out to be massive I'll never know.

The customer service is really dependany on who you get. For instance when mine first broke the lady was was an idiot. I called back the second day and the guy I had on the phone was very helpful. Then I call the next day about replacing games (I was told to call back because I had to go the previous day) and was told blah blah blah by another stupid person. I sent in Perfect Dark Zero. What do I get back? Kameo. I was told there was no way that I could get a copy of PDZ back instead and that I'd have to live with it. Well I get my 360 back and call them about it again and guess what? The guy on the phone apologizes for the Kameo problem, lets me keep the game, and then has a new copy of PDZ send out to me. So for the majority I think the customer service is pretty good.

Just my .2
