Just a quick note to say that I entered an enhanced version of the 8Bit game Jetpac into the latest PlayBASIC retro competiton.

It's the first JetPac remake that I know of that introduces scrolling to the game (includes Defender style scanner to locate fuel, ship parts, bonuses etc.)and high speed gaming. 10 levels of nostalgic blasting, with a few twists along the way.

Cool! - you can never have enough Jetpac clones .

I'll be sure to try this tonight - the graphics look great, I like the idea of using a stubby little Jetman, kinda gives him more personality than if you'd just tried to copy the original (boring) jetman.

Good luck in the retro competition BTW.

The game came second in the competition - strangely despite everyone really liking the graphics, it scored poorly on these
