Hi,

I am a noob to darkbasic pro. I am a 3d artist that has decided to try to make games on my own.

After doing some searches on the web came across darkbasic pro, it looks like it will allow me to do what i need.

having said all that, before I purchase the software and invest my time learning it, I need to know: Is there a royalty paid to the owners of darkbasic pro if I decide to make commercial products?

Saw a mention of "royaly free" as a feature of DARK GAME SDK, but no mention of royalties for DBP, been searching and searching and cannot find anything on the topic.

Thanks

sorry!, twas the first thing I read about ten seconds after going online, I mean it`s not exactly a well kept secret or something, it`s on the main Pro page, any search of this forum will find all of the ten million other questions in the same vein, plus it was a double post, it`s just too much in a morning before my second coffee , and he claimed to have looked (searching and searching was the term he used), it must be some new definition of searching I wasn`t previously aware of

@Mighty Marcos: sorry!, but the question is posted way too often, and it isn`t even hard to find the answer, superficial glances at the bit of webpage you can see without scrolling don`t qualify as searches, and you didn`t read the forum rules when you registered, just giving the same question a different title does not mean it is not a double post, btw, welcome to the forums , feel free to post as soon as you find your head again (the one I bit off)

An exact answer, no. There are absolutely no royalty fee's / contacting needs to be met. With that said, whats your first game gonna be? I'm working on an FPS.

DB user 2006+, I plan on making my first real game (after finishing tuts) an arcade-like (very fast pace, lots of enemies) 3rd person shooter. already got a design doc, and some concept art, gotta start coding and modeling
