Ok this is my little game effort. I not even got a name for this game yet. Im open to suggestions

I love Quake Arena and Tibia so had this mad idea to mix the two together as a FPS-RPG with a little MDK/Tomb Raider external view too.

It all started with a castle and a knight

Can walk on castle and got DB network play working

Added a 1st person view mode and Quake Arena type moves

Added health bars but no combat system yet

In an effort to get frames per second to 60 I remade my castle with less polygons.. alot less! This is running on 1.2Ghz laptop with no 3D card!

The character can now bend at the waste to look down or up so I had to add a sky mesh.

Ok now we got a weapon in hand and some basic shooting

Ok got alpha sprites working now to tidy the text up

Replaced fog with a skybox.

see those percent signs? they come up cause you've used spaces in your folder names, if you redo it and put them in with no spaces they should link. Also it all looks pretty damn good. My brother keeps asking why I'd make a game from scratch instead of just using an engine like quake 3 to make an mog. Which is fair enough, using the quake 3 engine you could make a pretty fun fast paced MOshooter, but then i'd have to learn c and so forth. Anyway give us a bit more info, as it seems you already have multiplayer which is pretty damn advanced, keep up the good work.

Aww man. Not another MORPG thats way farhter in development and way better than mine

Anyways, great game. Love how you used the DB outline command and ghosted the object to get the matrix effect. (Did you?)

Wiggett - thanx for the help with getting my screenshots up. One reason for not using a Quake/Unreal engine is that you have to pay a royalty if u make some money.

Bizar - took me ages to figure out how to fix a camera to a moving limb. DBP could do with an easier single command for doing this like they have SET CAMERA TO FOLLOW OBJECT so can we now have SET CAMERA TO FOLLOW LIMB plx

Xeno - I used SET OBJECT Object Number, Wire, Transparent, Cull, Filter, Light, Fog, Ambient command to get into wireframe mode for the Matrix construct look.
