Hello everybody, I was thinking of making a darkbasic program for a medical analyzer. Basically the program would ask you for your symptomes and problems with your health. Then it would bring up the possible terms for diseases and such. Do you think this program would be possible to make. I know it would be a huge project getting so many medical terms in the program but what would the structure of the program be?

Thanks

you would need to make a database-like system that could load up files and search through them for the symptoms given to find the desease, or vice versa. searching both ways would actually be quite easy once you go the database system down...

Yes.

Too broad of a question.

It's easy to make a medical program. About as easy as programming can get.

Yeah, it is easy to make, but it takes a lot of time getting all the data.

Currently working on (trying) making a new 3d engine for/within dark basic classic out of basic 2d commands, with vertex edit supported.

forgot exactly where they are, but the army has some really nice flowcharts online that are like the chart version of the program you're trying to make, where you go by symptom and it branches out. it would be alot easier to get alot more in with that than compiling main bits of info from all over webmd.com

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120...

That's not a huge project... that's a massive project. I have a Mosby's Medical Dictionary... it's over 2,000 pages!
