hey all im working on my first game.
its a space shooter/ space invaders game.
plz tell me what you think about it
i started programming and made a pong game, (i followed the tut by Chris k), read some/alot of tuts, TDK_MANNs and some others. but then i got away from it for a while... 30+days i think.
but i realy enjoed programming, but dident had the time, and lack of simple ideas. but then i came up with a simple idea. make a triangle and some cubes to avoid. after i made that(pretty fast) i just keept on making new stuff to it. and here is the work ive done so far...
its not much, not much change in gameplay, graphics and such. but i think of it as my first game(because in pong i followed a tut, to make it)
im new to forums and programming.

here is a screen:

space or control= shoot
lalt or numpad 0= change weapon.. this is a litle buggy, it changes to fast. hmm

what ive done so far:

Ah your first game, mine was a mad libs one, I'm getting into 3d right now. This is pretty decent for a first 3d game I'll assume. The invader game is very nice looking, and I usually like these old games.

yup same here just getting in to 3d. i also started out with basic 2d/text and shape programs. i also made a mad lib game. but dident post about it here, because i was still getting in to the very basic stuff(and still go back some times)
one the the first thing i made wich i was proud of, was a lotto game. based on the tut that follows with dbc, t(the one about a lotto program) i made it so that the user could pick some numbers, then the computer would pick some random numbers, and mach them up with the ones that the player picked. very basic but i learned how to through, arrays using for...next loop and so on.

i dont expect to get any images up today, because im not at home any more(at a freinds house, gameing night (bf2) to night. hehe )
