k guys sorry for posting alot but ive never used any form of basic before so im still learning it kinda

but anyways is there a modulus operator in basic???

Then you must be using DB Classic - that doesn't have a modulus operator.

Use this instead:

no, that wont work, cos (a/b)*b is a. You want:
