Hey,
Here's my question, you know how when you compile you're final EXE, it stores all you files in the poject directory in the EXE file? Well it's not compiling my videos. Is there anything special I have to do? I'm useing videos in a .WMV format, and it seems to play correctly, just not comile. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I was just testing with the program, and I made a discovery that should have been common sense. DBC only includes .AVI movies in the finished .EXE file because they were the only movie files that were meant to be played in DBC. So, my new question is, how can I trick DBC into comileing my .WMV movie?

Change the extension to .wmv maybe? See how that works out.

Why make sense when you could make brownies?

Why do you not convert your wmv to avi format?

Mabey just rename them to avi (also in your code).

Else if i where you just convert them whit a free video converter.

The converting method dosn't working very well when useing a .WMV file produced with Windows Movie Maker because:

1) The detail is noticibly lowered
2) Usually, the movie is a lot chopier, but the music stays the same,
so the music finishes playing before half the movie even plays.
3) The size of the file is, well, drasticly larger. For instance, my movie file is just under a megabyte, but when I convert it to .AVI, it's like, 24 megabyts!!

Anyways, if I put enough effort into it, I may get it right. I'll try out some of you're suggestions. Thanks for the help all

you could always just add the .exe and extra media files that arn't included into an auto extracting zip file or maybe make an installer? there are some great ones out there.

Self-Extracting? Never heard of it. Of course, I manly use WinRAR to compress files. I however happen to have the WinZIP trial. How can I get self extracting ZIP's?

The 'Final EXE' just includes files that have certain file types, that are in the immediate folder (the one with your code in).

When DBC v1.13 was written, Wmv was not at all popular.. doubt it even existed, to the general public....

I made some changes to dark explorer my dbpro exe editor so that it also works with dbc exes.

You can use it to add any files to a dbc exe.
I added a wmv file to a dbc to an exe so the exe looked like this.

The dbc played the included wmv file correctly.

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.
