Well, i had a little bit of money to spend as my birthday is on Sunday and i've received a couple of gift payments early so i decided to grab another game for my 360. Due to the lack of games for the system, there werent a lot of choices for games left... I already have PDZ, DOA4, and Condemned....

I went to the store and found Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.. Now i'd read a couple of short reviews and generally the ratings(ign and gamespot) gave the game 9.2.. I've never been a fan of the Tom Clancy games though, so i was deeply considering just buying a psp game instead. But what a waste of 360 power that would be.

I picked up Ghost Recon and brought it home, a friend was with me.. We immediately began playing two player team objective missions.

Now first i'd like to say.. Ghost Recon supports 16 player co-op/versus on both online and offline mode. It has a TONNE of options to choose from. The controls feel weird at first, but all ghost recon games do to me.

Now, despite reviewers like Gamespot and IGN saying that the graphics are gorgeous the moment you step into the game.. You really need to play this game for atleast an hour or two both online and offline to truly appreciate the atmosphere of the game.

In what Socom misses in gameplay.. Ghost Recon makes up for it.. The only sad thing i could find about the game was the fact that you cant control your team-mates as much as you should be able to in my opinion, but this is a VERY small itch.

I highly recommend purchasing this game if you're a Socom/Ghost recon fan, and i highly recommend renting this game(though you should just buy it) if you're looking for a game to try out.

I bought it yesterday and I've already clocked around 6 hours in single player... I'm pretty close to beating the game on normal already(but then there's always hard, one shot you're dead!)

This game is freaking awesome. It sucks you right in and the graphics are deeply immersive. Definitely the best I've seen on the 360 so far.

I just wish I could connect to live(dang microsoft screwing me over with a refurb 360) so I could try it online.

I loved the original Ghost Recon but hated the sequel for the consoles. However GRAW looks to change that and so I'm highly anticipating this title alongside Oblivion and Kingdom Hearts II.

Don't worry, you'll be fine... A small batch of refurb 360's that MS sent out were systems that the techs had deleted XBox Live off of... It happened to like 900 people or so apparently. So they're sending me a brand new one + a free wireless controller and a month of live.

Thats the magic of Microsoft's customer service. They sent me Kameo as opposed to PDZ when I needed a new copy and then I got both.
