I just installed DarkBasicPro on my PC. When I try to run the simplest program I get error:

Runtime Error 1512 - Display is not supported by available hardware at line 0

REMing out statements I find that one of the statements causing this problem is:

SET TEXT SIZE 18

There are other statements that also cause the problem. By REMing them all out I can run the most simplest programs, for example PRINTing strings, but whenever I include something like the SET TEXT then I get the error.

My son is coming tomorrow to use this and if I don't have it working by then there will be hell for me to pay! Can someone please help? I've installed DirectX9, as far as I can tell. I think I do not have very good graphics card, and I'm happy to upgrade it if that is the problem. However I would have thought my card could at least handle setting text sizes. But I think that is my next course of action unless anyone can suggest a simpler fix for this.

Regards,

David

that right there tells you that either your monitor doesnt support your settings in your program or your graphics card.

look at the settings for your graphics card,& find out what settings it supports.or you could try running your program at a lower setting like 640x480x16.
