I remember surfing around here a while ago, and saw something about a collision plugin by TGC, I think it only had like 3 commands, something like to return the position of the collision.... has anyone seen that around?.. I really need it...

Thanks,

Thiago

I dont know for sure, but I think it went along with the other original commands like Object COllision(obj1,obj2), and if you had a collision, it would return the position of that collision...

cant u do that manually? by storing the old coordinates? the reverting to them if there is a collision detected?

Hmm, yah and no.... let me explain what I'am trying to do...

I have the NG Collision system and yeah it works, but not for animated objects, so I thought, I'll scale a cube and make it so that its however long from where I am to where I'm looking (using the NG raycast) then, I'll get the collision from the scaled cube and find out if I really hit the target or not (because I would hit the target if I shot him between the legs using the ellipsoids). So I need the position of the collision between my scaled cube and the target to know if it is a sure hit or not...

hunt out sparky's dll for raycasting... it can do polygon collision, though i'm not sure if it works with animated objects...
