I sure hope you have another computer to run your Windows based programs on.

It's gonna be okay, I remember when I was younger, I used to sneak my girlfriend over when my parents weren't home and switch all the computers to Linux. It was cool as long as we switched it back to Windows before they got home.

It's dangerous, really dangerous. Think of the implications. People have been down that road before.

One minute, everything is running along just nicely. Then one day, it happens. An innocent conversation, and then you mention her Red Hat, comment on her Knoppix or just garble "Ubuntu!" mid-sentence. Suspicion creeps in that you're spending more time with your new implementation than her, and it's downhill all the way.

Ok she took it rather well(moreso than i had predicted)... But she said we wouldnt ever be the same.

a quote

Quote: "Linux is one thing, but Fedora!? Those RedHat OS's are all gold diggers."

I talked to her for a while and then mentioned the partition. Thats when she cooled down and realized that it would only be 30-40 GB deticated to Linux.

Thanks for the moral support guys, I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I downloaded the 2.5 gig iso file but i am short of DVD R's. Ill have to go out and get one. All i have is one CDR which is wierd.

P.S. Her parents are mostly neutral, Ex. Her dad called her to find the "Q" key.
