Ok, I had an excellent idea for the Retro Game competition. A 3D version of Nintendo's Duck Hunt. Except after you hit so many ducks you get a weapon upgrade. Eventually you receive a heat-seeker missile launcher. When this is shot the game then switches to a FMV of a duck flying, spotting the missile trailing him, his eyes bulge out, then he is blown to pieces. Another way to incorporate humor into the game is to allow the dog (from the original NES version) to be shot whenever he pops his head up to laugh at you for missing. Tell me what you guys think! I wish I would have thought of this in time to enter the competition.

Sounds cool! Maybe you should go a bit easy on the duck FMV, i.e he spots the missile, eyes bulge, he flies all over the place trying to escape, the missile blows and the duck comes down as a roast duck (always humor before gore )

Whatever I did I didn't do it!

Yep, that's work in progress, I already thought of that weeks ago. At the moment you can run around and shoot the ducks which all fly out of the tree. The weapon upgrade would be good, except I can only get one of the weapons from DarkMatter (the enfield) to display properly, all the others I tried (mp5, ak47 ) are inside out. Actually I think the RPG launcher might be ok, I could make that fire homing grenades, but FMV is too big to fit in the 10mb limit.

Roast duck'd be funny, at the moment all the ducks just turn straight down and dive when shot, then get half stuck in the ground. Which is hilarious.

I think the FMV is not needed. However, I think the ability to shoot the dog whenever it pops its head out is priceless. Another humorous idea is to be able to use the homing missile on the dog. Watch

At the moment you are free to roam around the field shooting ducks, and the dog runs around chasing ducks and barking. It doesn't pop it's head out from behind grass, it is just in the field. When you lose I'll make it laugh at you, but you can shoot it anytime.

Sounds like you got a winner on your hands. You have any screenshots yet? How much more do you have left to accomplish? I'd love to see it if at all possible.
Make sure you post the game somewhere after the competition is over!
