Has anyone heard about this guy before? Pretty interesting. I had to write a paper on the "Rife Machine" and it's validity. I ended up concluding it was fake (it was just a cheap scam), but I'm still intrigiued about Royal Rife and his research.

There is so little information on Rife that it is almost strange. The American Medical Association doesn't mention him at all. A lot of the information you can find on him comes from scam sites trying to sell you a "Rife machine", so those sources can't be trusted. Quackwatch.org lists these machines as 'quackery', which I know they obviously are. However, there are at least a couple of sites with seemingly valid information, even newspaper clippings. Check it out:

There's no doubt Rife existed, but was his research valid?
I've found some present day research that seems to correspond with Rife's work:

Also, here are some present-day pictures of one of Rife's microscopes:

What do you guys think?

Fraud. If, with todays technology, we can not understand how something in 1938 works, either we are stupider then we belive, or it never worked in the first place.

To be fair, we're still not 100% sure how the Egyptions built the pyramids, although we have some pretty concrete theories. The point being technology can shroud less advanced possibilities. In the case of his microscope, I'd be inclined to believe it was fraud, but anything is possible.
