Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone has a great FPS source out there also with moving enemies I can shoot to work from.

If you have one I'd love to have it, thank you in advance!

your welcome. the source is really messed up and the AI is crap.
i decided to stop working on it, and v1.8 is the same engine, only rewritten.

however, there is a codebase where you can search for open source games and the likes.

and there's a old skool progammer "Phaelax" who wrote the "Morpheus" FPS engine in DBC. you should check it out.

It's a pretty good source only the game is so extremely dark I can hardly see a thing! Still, it's way better then how far I got so far.

I got FPS Creator yesterday and really like it, it keeps the game up to speed and i figured if I wanna build an FPS anyway might as well give that one a try.

That in no way means I'm giving up DBC though!!!! DBC is da bomb!!!! (And I think I'll do intro's and stuff for my game in DBC still and do the rest with FPSC) ))))))

I started this project about 2 years ago and then gave up on it about 6 months later because of lack of time, etc. Anyway, you can look at the source and learn if you like. The compiled version I have there only has one enemy, but the code is there for two different types of robots. I took the other type out because it was going slow on my crappy video card back then.

I edited out the nuclear glory key in the source, but the compiled exe is compiled with the unlocked version. I also didn't include the intro video because it's about 30 mb. Enjoy You're welcome to finish it out if you like.

Stupid file wouldn't upload. I've tried using the Java uploaded thingy, and after it says it's transferred, it says "the document contained no data." I'll try again tomorrow to upload it. In the meantime, here's the source code itself.

Edit: Have to attach it to the next post as the source is more than 64 kb.

Ok, this is the first time I've ever triple posted. But I can't edit a message to attach source code. Hopefully it will work if it's in the source code box.

Edit: Nope, it looks like 64 kb is the max. (The source is about 68 kb)
I'll try attaching it as a file. (Crap, I feel like such a n00b...I think I need sleep)

sure.

another engine, featuring only player movement and collision that i have written, is the fps engine that comes with tiame.

but it needs the tiame library to work.

(zombie hunter engine is based on the tiame fps engine)
