Does anyone know anything about Firefox? My system locked up, and would not respond to the usual ctrl-alt-del, so I hit reset. When it fired back up, all my Firefox settings had gone to defaults, and my bookmarks have all gone.
Anyone know how I might be able to get them back?

Take a look in this folder on your system:

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your login name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<System specific folder>

You should see 2 files, bookmarks.html and bookmarks.bak. Move the .html file to one side, and rename the .bak to .html, then start up firefox.

If that doesn't work, then you can restore the file from one of those backups you make regularly ... you do don't you?

I hate when that happens. You had to make a new profile right?
I lost a lot of "stuff" to that last year. Took me a long time to get all those bookmarks back.
