I know it doesn't hurt anyone. I don't have a problem with it, personally. It's just against the rules is all. As to free advertising...I really don't know. Advertising is not my forte.

You can only advertise your forum if you wrote it yourself.(j/k) Proboards and skinned PHPBB forums just don't really attract people at all.
