I just checked out my vs 2005 install, and I saw j#, and found out that its java down to the very last hair! I like java syntax, but I dont like java's speed and distribution issues , but even though this uses the .net framework, I think I can work with this. now if only i can turn that damned theme off...

Can't say I'm in love with Visual Studio, but I am with Borland Developer Studio 2006.

Speed I'll give you but not liking somethings distribution issues (which I assume you are reffering to the GUI side of things?!) is no reason at all to move to a microsoft product!

no, I mean the thing about packaging jar files correctly so that you dont get obscure errors about missing classes. I want my whole executable in one spot where I can see it
