the second code does the desired effect but i need variables if i want to edit the x2 value. Can someone help me with this?

yeah even if i did that it would still do box 100, 465, 100, 470 as if it ignores the variable completely

try Box 100,465,101,470

Damn that little box bug! - just gotta make sure it's at least 1x1 pixels, the outside edge is not shown - so that would draw a 4 pixel high box at 100,465.
