I was recently talking over MSN with Rich about things and he informed me that Dell has inquired about possibly buying out The Game Creators! And Lee is interested but the whole TGC crew is arguing about it. I figured I should let everyone know that soon we'll probably be logging into dell.com I'm not sure how much money they were offered, but I know that most of the mods are going to be replaced by Dell reps if this deal happens, and there's even a rumor going around that in lieu with the deal, all of the trial editions of our favorite applications will boast a large DELL icon in the lower-right corner of the screen for the duration of your trial period. The good news in all of this is that all of The Game Creators' customers who've spend over $315.50 (but in british currency, I don't have a pounds thingy on my keyboard) on this site in the two years prior to the actual "takeover" will recieve a 20% discount on all of Dell's accessories and a 5% discount on desktops, laptops, and CRT monitors. I guess some of the mods have known about this for a few weeks but none of us were supposed to find out until next week. I promised I wouldn't tell you guys about this, but I figured it was only fair to let you all in

It is true that the mods have known about this for some time. What can we say though, TGC is expanding at exponential rates. David T, RPGamer, and Cattle Rustler have also been doing some consulting with Dell about a name change for all TGC products.

Example:
First Dell Person Creator
Dell Matters

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Thats odd. I'd actually heard that Lee was talking about buying Dell, not Dell talking about buying TGC.

My parents bought 2 Dells recently, and I feel so ashamed. Should I have taken some sort of measures to prevent that and get some decent computers put together?

Them is fightin' words... I'm willing to bet that 90% of the TGC forumgoers will raise arms and sack your home... rape your fields and pillage your women, that sort of thing, just for saying that Mac is better than Windows arrgh

Of course not. Me? April fool's joke? Hah! Nope, I'm dead serious, Dell is buying TGC effective next week and these forums will be covered in silly Dell icons. Sucks, but what can we do.

Thank you It's good to know someone can appreciate my efforts, hehe. My ultimate hope was that Mr. Davies himself, or maybe Lee, would show up and "support" my claim, hehe
