Completely different subject, I swear.

I am on an absolute music high. Just went to see BLAST last night, my god that was freakin' sweet. He stabbed a freakin' marching snare head! That's hardcore.

There is also finally recordings of our jazz band.

I'm the piano player, first song on the list, "One O'Clock Jump" (Count Basie) starts off with me soloing, my err "reimagining" of Basie's original solo. It has an absolutely sick bass solos and then a b****in' ending.

This is a thread for the band geeks, and anyone who appreciates music. What do you like? Any recordings? I can't just show off some tunes and expect conversation. Make it interesting.

Nice jazz band, fairly tight from what some high schools around where I live sound like. Props to your piano work as well.

Thanks Saikoro!
I wish I had a recording of our last festival, it was sweet, made a bold move and played Chronometry at the clinic where Fred Sturm would be working with the groups there.

Very nice.

I've been listening to a lot of Herbie Hancock and Incognito(acid jazz) recently. I seem to remember you saying you like Herbie Hancock on another thread, is that right?

I play blues on the piano, which is slowly shifting more towards jazz. Filex0r: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/xt/xt_apollo_download.php?i=833633
(Recorded in two parts, which is probably why I was hitting the keys a bit hard )

Wow Benjamin, that was freakin' sweet! Are you just learning on your own or are you studying in school/with instructor? Really slick.

I do listen to some Herbie Hancock, though I haven't listened to much outside of Headhunters and a cd he produced that I bought at Starbucks.
