This is by Andre Lamothe and his team. Mr Lamothe and his team have put together a cool tool that I just gotta have! It lets you make your own console and comes with a book on it!! This is not for noobs to programming it's all in Assembly, I repeat machine language!

Stuff Like This: mov ax,1

I'm learning C++, know DarkBASIC, and learning numerous others and junk so I was thinking about getting me one.

I have another book he wrote " tricks of the 3d game programming gurus"
great insight.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

Mr Lamothe is a big inspiration to me besides Mr Bamber(the one that came up with the vision of DarkBASIC was lead programmer).

I have the same book. Helped me a whole lot when I started coding.
As for the gamestation... IMHO: It sucks. If you're into console homebrew the DC or the GP2X are much better options. If you're into putting chips together and stuff I guess it's OK, espetially with all the documentation it comes with. Whatever you make won't have that "my creation" feeling as it's like playing with a 10 peice lego set (oh the possibilities! -_-).

DC emulator code size: 9MB. Compiled: 4MB.
Overall Status: 20% done. CPU: 80% (no floats), RAM: 10%, GFX: 0%

I agree with TKF1SH. I'd much prefer a GP2X

If it's so easy, why exactly is it that you haven't released a single thing yet? Anyway, wouldn't it be sensible to choose something for it's ease of use and simplicity over something that's much harder?

Fair enough, keep it up Just hate to see you moving to C++ if you don't complete your project first, there's a lot of hype about it. That's happening a lot on these forums.

Y'know it's possible to go C++ without leaving DBP, right? Make/find an interface library and code your entire game in C++ using the DBP engine. Yeilds some nice results. If you think making an interface lib is too hard, or you don't know how to make one, then chances are you aren't ready for game programming in C++ anyway.

None of the game designers I know are programmers.
