Are you trying to say the americans made a standard that was different from the rest of the world?

We certainly did not! We haven't changed anything at all including measurements, grammar, language, taste for incredibly bad fads and especially not date formats!

Tobias is right, its more like every 100 years :/ , still kinda cool.

I remember back in 2002, it was one of those fancy mirroring dates, I forgot which date it was.

01/01/01, 02/02/02, 03/03/03, 04/04/04, 05/05/05, 06/06/06... Anyone have plans for 06:06:06 on 06/06/06? or will you be at a casino at 07:07:07 on 07/07/07?

And then I realize someone already posted the 666 thing and I'm too lazy to change it

You were too lazy to change it, but you wrote an entire sentence about how you were too lazy to change it, using up far more time than changing what you were too lazy to change!

I think it happens more than every 100 years though, because once a number other than 0 enters the 10's digit that theory is toast.

Anyone got the exact number?

Similar things happen every few weeks, but 1,2,3,4,5,6 can only happen every 1000 years, because you need 06 at the end.

haha. I heard somewhere that they got the whole 666 thing wrong and the real number of the beast is actually 667 or something like that. Damn - someone screwed up big time. I feel sorry for Iron Maiden.

Btw, in America, why is football called football?

And why is baseball called baseball, and not comaball .

I've never paid any mind to that one, the only one I was aware that people wasted any time on is the day-month year - like 9/7/97, the 0 is stopping that right now, but in 5 years time every year we'll have a post saying...

''Ohh look, it's 1/1/11. or 1/2/12, or 1/3/13 etc etc etc''

Plus the expected, 10/10/10, 11/11/11, and 12/12/12 which will happen 3 years in a row then not for about 100 years.

Actually, I think a much more logical date format would be year/month/day, that way anything timestamped in that format would be automatically sorted in choronological order. Surely some of you have run into this problem before, right? It always happens to me with digital photos.

Thats what we go for here. As long as they are baffled they can't convict. There is still a reasonable doubt.
