Ok, well Im in the process of building a computer for myself with some money that came from a laptop I sold. I got $575 for it, and I have about 250-300 extra income coming in for certain, maybe more I im lucky. So lets Say Im playing around with about $650 because I definately need to get an LCD Moniter and thats going to cost me about $195(S&H and everything). You guys were kind enough to give me links to some good parts to build my first PC, but since Ive got a little left over I need help deciding whether to build another computer for about $200 or upgrade some parts to my primary. I have purchased nothing but the case to my primary. Heres the stats on both.
(Also just BTW I have sound cards and ethernet/wireless cards out the arse for some odd reason... Just found them downstairs and my dad said I could use them)

PRIMARY: $593.48

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 1GHz HT 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor

ASUS A8N5X Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131569

HITACHI Deskstar 7K80 HDS728080PLA380(0A30356) 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145450

and heres the parts i picked out for a possible secondary. Its about $198 i believe

ECS L4VXA2 (1.0A) Socket 478 VIA P4X400 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135219

Intel Celeron D 315 533MHz FSB Socket 478 Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819112196

Seagate U Series X 20 20GB 3.5" IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148051

Spire BlackFin IV 2711B Black/Silver Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811220015

And I have a Radeon 9200 card laying around I could put into that.

Well, Is there anything that could use upgrading on my primary PC that I could do with about $85? (theres $35 in rebates) I can afford that celeron motherboard right now if i wanted...

Which shall it be? I need some guidance

you may want to spend some cash on a DVD burner, Pioneers latest is my preferred choice.
backing up is essential if you want to preserve all of your work.

as a developer, it makes more sense to have more then one functional computer, one reason is for backup, another is you can use one to surf the net and get drivers etc while setting up the other. multiplayer programming and networking skills also come into place when you have two machines.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

The external HD may fail too.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120...
