It use to work very well!
I've been on the forum, they could't help, I contacted DB support and got three answers - none of which solved my problem. I am in the middle of re trying DB St'b and I can notget DB edit to work. The following is what I have listed int Darkedits'options!

C:\Program Files\Dark Basic Software\DarkBasic\DB.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Files\Iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\Dark Basic Software\DarkBasic\Help\menu.htm
C:\My Documents
When I try to run my program it keeps on coming up with error cannot create Temporay File!

How can I get this to work?

I'm 75 years old and as sharp as the head end of a Tack!

the temporary file is stored in the "default project directory" (the last in that list)

so if the directory "C:\My Documents" does not exist (most likely, unless you are using win98) then the temp file cannot be created.

my forum - still in development

This is true, DarkEdit wasn't designed with windows NT in mind. you can either:
Quote: "(So the slashes aren't removed)
- Change the last path to C:\Documents and Settings\(Your user)\My Documents (Assuming you are using windows NT, 2000 or XP)
- Create a directory called My Documents in the root directory (What my brother did, because he hates all the "Documents and settings" bit.)
- Point it to your Dark Basic "myproj" directory (What I did)"
