or do any experience programmers know how to improve the physics in the fpsc engine

or does any body know of a good ascii to 3ds converter

the reseason i am asking is because i am attempting to get fpsc to see the follow

i can get the landscape and the skybox working but the physics really suck in fpsc and i fall through the ground

any advice would be cool

well, i believe that cb is dropping ode altogether, so it should hold you above the floor.

i honestly dont know why tgc ever implemented ODE, they should have used newton:s

it would take a lot of work, work i beleive cb haas already done, so i trust him in that aspect...

Are you asking about the 3d file formats it supports? If so, it uses its own .mesh file which I believe is XML.

ODE is a type of physics tgc implemente into dbpro for FPSC.

newton is an exelent physics engine that they should have used.

and its not "newtons", i meant to say this: "newton"

I know that the guys making "Sector 13" have moved everything they have into the Ogre Engine. Drew (Lead Artist for Reactor Interactive) used GameSpace (at least initially) to make most of the 3D graphics for it.

That looks like FreeWorld 3D you're using there, Crow. It's a nice program.

oh, that happened with me once, i made a custom level in max, i didnt fall through it though, only the enemies did

what might help:

i dont know if youve done this already, but place the player on a layer above the level, so he falls onto the mesh
