Oh, no worries. Just misunderstood the whole point of this thing.

"Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer"(One People, One Kingdom, One Leader)-Adolph Hitler.

Oops, my mistake. It opens in a small window and the address bar is just really small

By the way, why have the javascript popup window anyways? It just annoys me (and probably others) because you can't middle-click the link, and I *LOATHE* popup windows hehehe.

Nice forums anyways.

FPSC Forums=Toilet

It's been the case since day one and it won't change soon as far as I can see.

Sorry to say, it is mostly the attitudes there that make it like that. Most people don't bother checking the FPSC section, probably for the best.

Some forums on here do get out of control. Like Team Request. I think that 3rd party forum can do well, but they are always hard to find. Better to moderate the FPS forums more strictly.

Every now and then I'll venture into FPSC and say something. Sick curiosity, I suppose. I had to comment on that thread about TGCs Marketing Mistake. It is an angry noob mob attack.

I make no bones about it, TGC run a good forum, yes I, like many, have a moan now and then, but overall this forum is a good one.

TGC give stuff away monthly in there news letter, yearly by way of a free model pack at Xmas, and of course those compo’s, I just have learned in the past, when you can’t change something you don’t agree with, it makes sense to find an alternative.

My forum was made to offer various categories, but not to loose site of the original idea, game making, that is why I have links back to the software I am listing there.

Hope that makes sense, anyway thanks for all comments, I will not bug you guys with my forum stuff, out of this thread again, at least until my first prize giveaway.

Tell me about it Cash, that thread is a train wreck.

I would lock it but I've vowed to never mod the FPSC forum again, there's just no pleasing them - be curteous and explain why your locking a thread, and you get a complaint email, say nothing, and they ignore you. I made a sticky to try and give some hints to newbies on what annoys people, what to avoid, etc - and they spam that with lame jokes...

Really, there's better places here for us to spend time tidying up. If I was at all strict there, it'd be a fairly lonely and empty place, because the majority of users there disregard the AUP. They need a nanny, somebody like that, somebody who can tell them cool stories and make all their dreams come true.

Anyhoo, don't want the particular contents of that nappy leaking here ehh .

It's pointless. You can't make a point with someone that's immature. The best you can hope for is to A. Turn the board into a complete spamming and insulting mess, or B. Drive the members away. It's not up to us to drive away TGC customers, that's TGCs call if they see fit.

Just as a caution, I think we should probably leave the FPSC rants in our heads, as we wouldn't want to invoke nooblet anger and have them coming over here. They're fine right where they are quarantined.

And now it's gone. I'm going to attempt some kind of a cleanup by just locking anything that even starts to go in the direction of a flamewar. Not really looking forward to seeing the rammifications of it tomorrow, but meh, someone has to do it.

Would appreciate it if someone could link to some of the other offending threads. Generally it's quite easy though, usually anything with more than 10 posts has turned to crap.

....agreed, that board......is something else.

one of their many mindless threads
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=76064&b=21&p=1

this one turned to mush pretty quickly too...
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=76029&b=21

and this looks like a pitifull attempt at a parody of the WIP board...

I have an idea that would put an end to the FPSC madness: Make all of the ANJIL members moderators on this forum!

Or you could supply them with big guns and give them the addresses of the worst culprits on the FPSC boards.

It would be a bunch of name calling. Threads would disintegrate even faster than they are now. The Mods can handle it. Vigilante Mods won't fix anything.

I would like to see people getting on with what the FPSC forums are, and leave them to that instead of complaining about every single little typo and grammar error. If you truly were serious, you wouldn't give two bunny ears about what 14 year olds say to each other. Get back to the programming and media making, and general tasteful goof-offing of the General Talk forum.

The last time a group of people wanted to eradicate different others from what they believed to be THEIR territory (which this is not your forum any more than it is the nooblets) was the Holocaust. And we all remember how that ended.

The main problem there is not the spamming, which happens here too. It's the vicious, personal attacks. People won't just tell you your game is lame. They'll cuss you out when they do it. And, people are fanatical about spelling, even when they can't spell themselves.

It's funny to go there and look sometimes. Every now and then, I'll post a well thought out point. But, it gets ignored every time, and I just move on. I guess if I were an FPSC user I'd care more.

As it is, I don't care. The time that I spend on this forum is costly enough, I simply don't have an interest in wasting more time righting wrongs that have nothing to do with me and won't be appreciated by anyone. If the ANJL (not you Megaton, you started it and never jumped ship, unlike the minions of noobs that copied the sig and went wild) was any indication of the power of the Vigilante Mod, it's best just not done. People start spamming that have no business doing so. Threads just get wrecked quicker.

Hmm didn't open this until now, so I'm going on the quoted text, I have spoken to a member who does post much, not because he's scared of comments, just because he thinks they're stupid and unhelpful, and doesn't see the point of posting incase of degrading comments (He never had any, but was put off by what has been said to other members)

Even if you are advertising your forum again You are drawing up a point, however I've complained about this communities attitude towards some people, and can't be arse much anymore because it don't work, but I do think those who aren't being constructive should either leave or keep their comments to themselves, I cough obscenities quite happily at certian flamers with out posting it

Yey! I removed the sig...
