anyone got some ideas why a .X object that I loaded isn't showing up. I've scaled it really big just to make sure that wasn't it.

It stopped showing up after I loaded patch 4. But before I had patch 4 installed, I ran into similar issues with other .X models that were made in milkshape.

Well scaling it really big isn't such a good idea because you can make it so big that you're inside the model and can't see it anyway so I suggest scaling it smaller oh and make sure "Autocam On" is before you load it.

an easy test is to use this small peice of code and see the scale.

this relies on the way DB places the model into the center of the camera
when u let DB assume the locations.

I also experienced problems of several .X models disappearing fully after patch 4. (attack.x for instance, the tank of the DBC tank demo)
But i'm sure they are there cause collisions work on them..
on the contrary, some objects that disappeared with patch 3.1 now they show up..
IT WOULD BE NICE (caps intended) if Lee or someone from the team could tell us what specific format these x models need to be to render correctly and what modelers and converters out there work properly..
For the rest i'm pleased with the speed boost...2,000 2-plain textured trees on screen with no FPS drop..
At last i can proceed with my work (started with DBC and on stand by since June 2001 )
