how about seperating this board into Dark Basic Pro snippets, and Dark Basic snippets...It would be much easier because all the scripts I get don't seem to work Dark Basic Classic...

Nice.

We would need a moderator to constantly look at both snippets on both boards,

so he will have to do all the work If it didn't work on DB or DBPRO.

All I am saying is that it's easier for somone to put that It only works in DB or DBPro.

Yes...I think any code submitted should be checked by the poster whether or not it works in DBC or not and then they would know what board to put it in...
I only have DBC so its annoying when code doesn't work

The DBP site is mainly for DBP, Im sure theres other sites that cater to DBC more clearly.

I would assume DBC is being fazed out as DBP grows.
It would be easier if they were seperated into 2 distinct groups.


The range of changes is growing a lot between dbc and dbp so I would assume they have there own forums seperate from each other.


meshing them together creates a bit of confusion.

If there is seperate darbasic and darbasic pro forums on this website, then there should be seperate code snippits forums. A new forum wouldn't be much bother to set up, and could be done soon.

I would buy DBPro but seeing as I just bought DBC three months ago, I'll stick with my choice. Also I like going on this forum just for the fun of it and not so much to get help (although I do use it for that). Its good to chat with other people who do the same as you, I don't know anyone in real life who is my age and programs.

Why the hell'd you ask me for crying out loud!?!

Same for me. I got a few people interested in my year but not many are actually bothered to make games. (although some I know do not even know how to turn the computer on if you get my drift)

1. The DB forum option takes you to these on the DB Pro site.

2. There are many questions I ask in DB forum which could very easily be answered by the DB Pro crew, I fear they may be being overlooked by the experts.

3. I believe the solution is to reduce the number of forums, and add a DB / DBpro / Generic flag that shows on the listings.

4. ...and how about a search option?!?

5. I have just bought DB Classic plus Enhancements & Darkmatter this week. I don't need the added functionality of DB Pro, and having to program in 4 other languages for a living, I'd rather learn another language with a subset of commands first!

DB Classic is very alive!

Oooh! DB Programmers! Me and my mate also use DB Classic. It would help if we had more examples of code for DB Classic! I'm using 1.12 at the moment but will be patching it to 1.13.

Is there an large difference betwen db and db pro?
Iam saving money to buy db classic with the bundle of code snippets cd and darkmatter and cartography.
I have never coded before and thought that it would be an good start.
But must i maybe now then buy db pro instead and maybe trow it out the window later when i cant get it at all to work.
As the bundle with db and the archive cd with source code seamed like an good start to beginn with?
Yust wondering as i have glanced a bit at blitz basic to but thoght that db classic seamed like the best offer with the large bundle of programs?
Iam planning to switch to db pro when i have learned the basics and can se that i can get something to work in code. :-s

No not a radio button, a checkbutton, so also both DB and DBPro could be checked...
