I was wondering if it was simple to be able to make a 3d object move towards or follow the mouse pointer. I would like to make a sort of "hack n slash" gauntlet type game but the fact that the mouse is on a 2D plain that doesnt relate to the 3D world is throwing me off. I found some interesting code about detecting mouse in 3D space with Vectors and I tried it kind of worked however it didnt follow the mouse exactly. Is there a simpler way then vectors? Has anyone seen an example of a 3D object following the mouse?

Success does not come with meeting the minimum requirements.

Well, you can use an object to be the "Mouse" object?

If so, here's a link to my function for it: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=74694&b=6

Hope it helps!
