I have tried to export an animation(using bones) from blender to an .x file.

I loaded it into db, but i couldn't see the object. So then i tryed to loop the animation, but then it said there was no animation. What gone wrong?

Has anyone got a animated character from blender?

If you're using DBC then i dont think it supports bone based animation.

Oh, well i'll have to use dbpro then =)

i tried it in dbpro and it doesn't crash when i try to animate it, but it still doesn't show up(I can't see it)

doesn't the camera change automatically so you can see the object you created?

Maybe the Model is either too big or too small that you can't see it?

Death, dont bump your threads so quickly. And Mojo, dont respond with "I dont know's", they dont help anything.

Try substituing the camera positioning code with this;

Replacing Obj with the model object's number.

If you still can't see the object then the next most likely possibility is the object is out of range and is being culled because it's so big. So, experiment with the SET CAMERA RANGE attribute to see if you can get some part of the object in view.

Also you probably know this but if you're setting AUTOCAM OFF the camera wont be positioned to show the object, so that may be the problem.

You also mentioned you're animating the object, check to see that the first frame of the object's animation is not blank (so there are models in the frame).

If THAT doesnt work, post the object up in .x or .3DS format and I'd be happy to take a look at it and see if I notice any problems, or just wait for someone else to respond, (ie not bumping every hour or so - actually I think the rules are you can only bump if it's been a day or the post as been put on the second page).

Thanks i'll try that. I posted my .blend file, but heres my .x file. Don't know if you'll be able to open it though...

*Edit*
Nope i tried both, still nothing. Do .x files exported from blender support bones?

Thats weird, it works in Dark Basic Clasic, but not in DBPro. And what's even more annoying is that Classic doesn't support bone based animation.

Is there something that can convert bone animation to regular animation?

your gonna have to dig deeper to find support on animations for blender to x format, check with Ooga booga, Greenlig, or one of the other blenderheads in the 3-d section they might be able to help...

I've been looking around these forums all day, but none of the exporters for blender seem to work. I can get the object exported but no animation. Has anyone EVER got any animation from blender in to DB?
