HI,
I have a question on a 2D game. I'm having problems loading up 2D Charecters as bitamps. I mean I can load the bitmap but I can't firgure out how to make it move when I press the up key or down key or anything....Am I doing something wrong.

This is how I would do it:

+ Code Snippet

hide mouse
load image "...\...\myimage.bmp",1
x#=0 `where the image will start off
y#=0 `(Same as above)
s#=0.01 `The image speed
do
sprite 1,x#,y#,1
if upkey()=1 then y#=y#-s#
if downkey()=1 then y#=y#+s#

if leftkey()=1 then x#=x#-s#
if rightkey()=1 then x#=x#+s#
loop
