sadly, i can't get to my first ever post, the internet archive doesn't quite go back that far, but this was a few months after getting DB, i think i was 14 when i first joined up

http://web.archive.org/web/20010724042109/www.darkbasic.com/forum/read.php?f=14&i=822&t=822

as you can see, i was quite the n00b about town, why say "one" when 1 will do? i hadn't had a computer and the internet long... and i just thought that's how everyone talked on it! check it out tho, indi being nice to a n00b... makes you wonder how he's managed to keep going all these years doesn't it? apparantly i made 174 posts on that forum before it got shut down for ages, i didn't think it was that many tbh.

If you have a look through a few of the pages
http://web.archive.org/web/20010905230408/www.darkbasic.com/forum/index.php
you can start to get a sense of who the real oldbies are.

so, anyone else got evidence of when they were a n00b they want to admit to?

EDIT:oh yeah, and 7 years and still no game! go team Manic!

Interesting, I was okay as a newb, it was about a year later I said anything stupid really, I was 14 when I started too, my oldest threads shown are one asking about TrueSpace 5 and the other is a team request I posted, my ISP had a server problem for 4 weeks and then I have plenty of replies and it turned out they took the team request forum away.

But my noobiest post has got to be the religious one I made scorching Christianity, so I shouldn't have done that

Yey! I removed the sig...

Hey, I was 13 when first I joined 3 years ago. Got banned. Took a few months of, and joined again.

And here I am.

I was a hardcore newb, yes.

13 year olds are idiots. Rare to see someone that age typing properly, or acting in a civilized manner. That's why we got Ali M, Drew G, OnePost, etc.

There are some extremely mature 13 year olds out there though(not on this forum though). I believe a member on the Lionhead forums is about 12/13, and he's a great guy - and he can type perfect meaningful sense! So your hypothesis is wrong

Serious? Get atta' here!

Quote: "So your hypothesis is wrong"

It's not wrong, as I said "rare to see someone that age..." meaning there are still cases like the Lionhead Studios forum guy.

Anyway, we were all morons at (or are in Drew's case) age 13 right?

megaton; you're only 16? no wonder you're such a sardonic, apathetic, overly opinionated little prick

perhaps i should have said i was a newb, as i never thought i knew better than everyone else (like i do now)

anyway, i thought i'd make this thread to remind people that everyone was a newbie once, so it maybe its time to start getting along?

Manic

PS:you know i don't mean it megaton, and to those of you that don't happen to like megaton, don't quote me to back yourself up

Acutally...there are a few mature 13 years olds on here, they just don't act their age or give their age, but I won't say who, because they probaly doesn't want thier age posted

Quote: "Anyway, we were all morons at (or are in Drew's case) age 13 right? "

I started acting like a moron at 11 (Went from primary school to secondary, most people act like morons then trying to show off in front of new people, which is why people in our school hate year 7's), stopped acting like a moron at twelve, and started again later on skipping 13

Unfortunatly, I am not 13... so...
And actually, Drew isn't 13 either... unless in his state they can drive at 13.
I guess it is the 13 year olds that need protecting from the 'big kittys'.

@ Megaton
I am not 13. Get that through your cat sized brain! You know, go take a vacation, and goto Israel while you still can. They appreciate you there more than here.

@Onepost
Ignore him, or her.. Who knows if he is male or female or both.

Drew - Stop being racist. It's a stupid way to get back at someone, and not only does it show your immaturity, but your ignorance is well.

The ANJL movement feels you're just a pair of geeks with something to prove.

And I obviously know how old both of you are.
Geez.

I'm glad you got the idea big man.

stop bickering about who's more mature, I'm gonna be really pissed off if this thread gets locked, it'd be the first time any of my threads has been locked. (except for the time i got banned from RGT, but that was because of a mixup with the way my ISP uses proxy IPs)
