Hello all...

Would like to know more about this book:

Beginner's Guide to DarkBASIC Game Programming

by Jonathan S. Harbour, Joshua R. Smith

It is about $48 on amazon.com and 752 pages. Sounds potentially like it would be a good reference book. There aren't any example pages and the description from the editor very short. The reviews are positive but seem to indicate no real full program walkthru, so not sure what kind of information other than general programming and general DB commands is filling over 700 pages!

Does anyone here own the book? What do you get for the money? Is someone who is at least on some level familiar with programming concepts and DB (own the DB version that had a small bound manual and tutorial guide) going to get anything out of this book? Would I be better off saving towards an upgrade to DB Pro?

Thanks for any information you can provide ... especially nice would be if there is a website showing a few pages of the book or more detailed info on it.

Marcia
