hi

for those of you who have bought vol. 1, and i want to begin the development of vol. 2 soon....or now

i started a zombie model for the second pack earlier, it has ruthly taken around 4-5 hours, im quite proud

anyway, this is ONE of the many characters to be in CorePak Vol. 2, along with texture and limb variations

ok, here it is:

nice, huh

well, anyway, i would like to hear some comments and suggestions for new characters, i wouldnt mind doing some custom creatures, but if you have HUMAN-TYPE structures, i would prefer to hear them.

by the way, bond1, i would like to speak to you about your biped

-Jon

Hi Jonathan,

Well, if you want some suggestions, I could certainly use some NPC civillians that just walk around, following waypoints (and maybe runing away from thugs).

Maybe just one or two female and male characters; I can retexture as required.

I agree with Neilo. Civilians are needed, and then make the civilians in zombie form.

Give a man some bullets, and he'll want a gun. Give a man a gun and he'll be giving away the bullets!!

I would like to see a more beast-like zombie, like something out of Silent Hill. Awesome work on the model posted above!!

thanks for the comments guys, and yes, i knew about a 6 armed crawling zombie before metioned, the imp from D3 gave me the idea... i dont know why 6 arms though, lol

bond1, when applying your biped animation, a window comes up asking whether you want to quantize or map the frames, either way, i think i mucks up the keyframes, and when going to export, the animations have a different ending?

do i need to set the keyframes before loading the biped?

heres a screen of that window:

if you could provide some in depth information of how to make characters from applying the biped point inward, that would really help, or anything

Quote: "btw please show your objects and enemys and stuff in fpsc so we can see the true quality fpsc tends to tear down the textures"

dont worry, i rendered it to look like what it is ingame (except the shadows and obviously the antialiasing

but heres a shot ingame anyway...

ok, NPC's it is then with some extra deformations.

i also wanted to create my own hellknight looking creature, that would be very scary, imagine this in your game, lol:

and its a human like body structure, so i can apply the biped

oh, and another question bond1, is it alright to include animated characters with your zombie biped in a commercial/priced model pack?

Jonathan, yes the Quantize popup is a problem. It means you don't have 3ds max's framerate set up at 25 frames per second, which is what FPSC uses. Most likely you have it setup as the default 30 frames per second, which will throw off the frame numbers.

Open your time configuration menu, and set the framerate to 25 frames per second BEFORE importing the biped.

And I could care less if you use the biped for commercial projects, but remember that 95% of it is still the FPSC biped. So you might want to check with TGC before selling any animated characters independently that uses this biped.

ok, many thanks for that bond1, i'll get in contact with TGC, i hope they allow it, if not, i guess i'll just have to animate 2000 frames by myself , lol

thanks liz

by the way, i may aswell mention it now, but there will be a discount on Vol. 2 for the people who bought Vol. 1, just a little appreciation i havnt planned everything financially yet, im still making the models

@Jonathan,

How about cyborgs?

Nothing too overdone (a-la Borg), but subtle enough for a player to know something was wrong. Scientists, soldiers etc. with some implants; that kind of thing.

well, first off, this pack will contain much more stuff, including atleast 10 animated characters and a new selection of modern guns, fully animated which i think is only fair to set for a higher price, say, £15 (not $) thats ruthly $26 i think...

second, if its lost or deleted, i will know if you are a buyer, as i have kept all records in my mail and paypal accoutn, so i know who has purchased, those who arent recorded, have obviously not payed for it

not much luck with the hellknight type thing, i need to work on "deformations" some more. but i know theres one thing some people have asked me repetitively for (besides NPC) is the fat zombie look from D3, ive finished the model and unwrapped the UV's, im texturing now

i havnt forgotten about the requests, i just wanted to make this quickly

what also would be nice, a normal human structure zombie. wearing a t-shirt or something. so everyone could make their own zombie textures.
i mean, without open chest or head. there could be 3 different zombies based on the same model. aaaand what everyone forgets...a women zombie model maybe a child ?

yeah...thats the ticket !

hehe, heres one i done a long time ago:

but thats a while back, so if theres faults, thats because i was still learning when i made that, so im gonna remake it in vol.2

Quote: "very nice jon !
but, could you smooth the shoulders a little bit ? the edges are not very realistic. think it would be perfect then "

yeh, i noticed that, i think its easily fixable, can be solved when i set it to rigid

Quote: "what also would be nice, a normal human structure zombie. wearing a t-shirt or something. so everyone could make their own zombie textures. "

yeh, im thinking about doing a plain zombie, i mean, no clothes and really skinny, like theyve suffered of hunger. etc.

Quote: "IF ANYONE is doing a child zombie its gonna be a girl in a pink poke a dot dress with her eyes gouged out....
"

hehe, the classic scary little girl, would be fun to make, i think i'll have to rescale the biped or something though

ive just got into UnrealED now, and taking a short break to finish the fat zombie, then NPC's

PSG-1 Sniper Rifle
M60 Machinegun

ok..standard zombie would be fine. but not too skinny fpsc already has a skeleton. model him like a normal 1.80m , 80kg man. and the girl, with a pink dress and long blonde hair. i dont think youve to scale the biped down. its possible in the fpe file to scale the model down. so...no need.
My wishlist :

- Standard Zombie
- Cop Zombie
- Little Girl and little Boy Zombie
- Surgeon Zombie
- Surgeon women zombie ( dont know the word )
- Some deformated Zombies , like one without head , without an arm,
a zombie crawling on the floor, sitting in a wheelchair
- and of course much gore entities. rotten bodies , legs , splattered heads, blood decals , open chest bodies , trash cans with limbs looking out etc. ^^

I`m not sick

yeah...thats the ticket !

ok, ive finished the fat zombie, for a stupid reason, i dont want this to turn into a long thread of the development of these models, so if you can, direct replies to this topic:

ive posted a render and video there,
